When citizens can see, question, and shape how public money and public land are used, they hold a lever no rigged election can fully take away. This program puts that lever in their hands.
We train and resource civic partners to read national and local budgets, track allocations to the point of delivery, and run community social audits that compare what was promised with what was built.
We support investigative partnerships that trace procurement fraud, inflated contracts, and offshore flows, documented to standards that courts, media, and international bodies can act on.
Secret contracts are where the commons are lost. We support campaigns to expose extractive and land deals, and we back community organising for free, prior, and informed consent, with legal empowerment so affected communities can defend their rights.
Billions in climate and transition-mineral finance are flowing into countries where citizens have no oversight. We connect climate money to democratic oversight through citizen monitoring, so funds reach communities rather than patronage networks.
Money stolen from the public should return to the public. We support coalitions pushing for recovery of looted assets and for consequences for the enablers of looting.
